There's plenty to enjoy about this place. The city established within Faro City and Albufeira also neighbouring to Vilamoura. Which means there are plenty of attractions in the area. You can walk to Vilamoura from Quarteira, and I do many times during my family holidays in Quarteira. The town has grown so much in recent decades.

The beautiful fishing village became a tourist destination including several lovely hotels. Not only hotels but also private homes or apartments. In Av. Sá Carneiro, there is a multi-lane traffic hub. Separating the old centre of Quarteira from tourist buildings accompanying the exceptional seafront. Within the immediate vicinity, where the main shopping facilities are. And within Vilamoura and Quarteira, you there are amazing new hotels. From there, you can appreciate the ocean views and maybe try your golf abilities.

Quarteira Beach

On the other side, there is a quiet villa area close to Almargem Beach and the Cavalo Preto Beach. It's a bit far from the centre of the town, but is ideal for those trying to relax, rest and enjoy the sun and sea. Quarteira has become a resort city with several resorts and hotels. Family Holidays In Quarteira has been one of the top choices when it comes to Portugal holiday. You have Hotel Dom Jose, Zodiaco or Hotel Atismar. All close to the beach and a few kilometres from Vilamoura's fantastic golf courses. And the water park Aquashow.

At that beach, the natural red cliffs of Algarve shoreline include the area of Almargem River. That form time to time allows water to flow into the ocean. It forms a very quiet water mirror, usually visited by waterfowl.
